Cafineo traces its roots to 2015 in vibrant Lyon, France, where founders Alexandre Dupont and Marie Lefèvre spotted critical gaps in credit access during the post-financial crisis recovery. Frustrated by slow banks and opaque investment options, they launched as a niche advisory firm, helping local SMEs secure their first growth loans. By 2017, demand surged, prompting a pivot to digital platforms. We introduced France's first AI-driven credit matcher, slashing approval times from weeks to hours while ensuring full compliance with AMF regulations. Expansion followed: a Paris office in 2018 catered to startups in the thriving tech scene, and Marseille joined in 2019 for Mediterranean trade businesses. The 2020 pandemic tested us, but we adapted swiftly—launching virtual consultations and resilient investment portfolios that weathered market volatility.
